SWEET MISTAKE EPISODE 2

Episode 2
By letting my guard down I signed a deal with the devil himself.
Nothing seemed right without Mark. I was employed as a teacher by a private school after high school and this was the leverage I needed. I get to school as early as 7;00am and close by 5:00pm and 6;00pm if I was the teacher on duty for the week. But this didn’t stop me from seeing Mark. I began being distant towards my family. I had little or no time for them. Oh no!!! I got to see them when I woke up in the morning while preparing to school and in the evening when they were too tired to ask questions.
After school, I’d pass by Mark’s house and have a little chat. We’d then take a stroll in the neighborhood till he said he was tired then I’d pick a car home. This was the usual routine. And oh, when I got paid for the month, then I became his santa. Some shirts and sneakers would definitely be delivered to him. I made sure he looked good for me of course. And this cycle continued for a very long time. I was practically lying to my mum everyday . Don’t blame me I’m naturally a sweet talker plus my mum adores me. I’m practically the white sheep in my family. Oh yes don’t be surprised I am a very good girl.
Mum calls me on phone while I’m wrapping up for the day.

Mum :hello Sena
Sena : yes mum?( I’m already thinking about the excuse to give this time)
Mum : can you get some vegetables for dinner today I couldn’t pass through town after work today.
Sena : oh no mum
Mum ; why???
Sena ; you see, there is a staff meeting after school today and I have to visit one of my students at the hospital so I’d be home very late today.
Mum : ok…I guess I should let your sister come to town then. Be safe my dear.
Sena: okay mum byeeee.

Yes that’s how my mum is so gullible and easy going. She trusts me so much. Sweet right???
Throughout the little years I’ve spent here on Earth, I’ve learnt that when one puts his or her mind to something nothing else seems important to them till they take a heavy fall. But for I (Sena)and Mark, we wanted to prove the world wrong in Mark’s voice. And Okyeame Kwame’s Small small grow together was my motivational song.
