30 certain
The long-awaited 30 is finally here.

If I cast my mind back to Teshie Camp 2, in our little chamber and hall room — specifically the living room — I remember being about 8 years old, dreaming wildly about what 30 would look like.
According to those childhood plans, by now I was supposed to be married, with two beautiful daughters, driving my own car, and working at a prestigious company in Ghana. 😄😄
But here’s the beauty of life — things don’t always fall in place just because you dream them.
Dreams alone aren’t enough to build a solid future.
Today, I’m 30, single, no daughters (yet), no husband, no car. Still living in my parents’ house, still enjoying their food — but hey, at least I help pay the bills 😄.
I don’t have a 9-to-5 job.
Instead, I’m a struggling pastry chef, working hard to get my name out there.
I’m an actor, still trying to find my feet in Ghana’s entertainment industry.
Looking back now, maybe I would’ve been more “settled” and financially independent by now if I had defined my goals clearly earlier on. But the truth is, I didn’t even fully know what I wanted.
There was one thing I was always sure of:
I wanted to stand in front of the camera,
I wanted the world to see me and hear my voice.
That dream alone carried me.
But is that enough to put food on the table? I didn’t ask that back then — and maybe that was okay.
As I turn 30, I’m filled with gratitude.
I thank God for the gift of life, for the strength to still dream and the courage to start over.
My life didn’t go as planned — so I’ve gone back to the drawing board.
I’m making some changes, revisiting goals, resetting aspirations.
Now let’s talk about my love life…
and why I’m still single…

To be continued.
